The International Association of Insurance Supervisors founded in 1994, aims to promote effective and globally consistent supervision of the insurance industry in order to develop and maintain fair, safe and stable insurance markets for the benefit and protection of policyholders and to contribute to global financial stability.
Its Annual Conference is established as a leading event bringing together insurance supervisors and industry experts from all around the globe to exchange on the latest developments in insurance.
The 25th IAIS Annual Conference will be held in Luxembourg on 8-9 November 2018 at the European Convention Center Luxembourg.
The theme of the 2018 Conference will be focussed around "Re-imagining insurance". The insurance industry is currently facing profound changes of its environment driven by economic, technological, social, environmental and political factors. These new challenges will of course impact industry behaviour in the medium and long run and as a consequence insurance supervisors' work, who need to start preparing for it now.
The 2018 Annual Conference will be an excellent opportunity for supervisors and industry leaders to discuss and understand these upcoming changes.
